Well, we just waived goodbye to November and hello to December!
I had a bit of fun last November (No Shave November) growing a beard while wondering when my book would be ready for publication. One year later, and voila! It’s finished and available on Amazon. I’m very, very thankful for that!
How incredible to add the title “author” to my resume — a five-year journey of writing 82 year’s worth of memories! 
From U.S. Presidents (Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Clinton, Obama), to visits to the Oval Office to flying aboard Air Force One… it’s all in there, photos and all. One chapter, “From Texas to the White House,” tells it all.
What a historical glimpse into yesteryear. The ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s were fascinating years politically and career-wise for me. I hope it shines a spotlight on civil rights and race relations, and guides the younger generations through the authentic battles our national heroes waged against discrimination and prejudice. The good news is, we’ve made great inroads for our children, grandchildren, and future generations.
